"Dont work to late Sakuro." A coworker called. He turned with pat on Sakuro's shoulder as he passed by him and with a big yawn headed out of the workshop. Without looking up Sakuro grunted in responce to acknowledge the other had spoken but didn't look up from his task, soldering tool in hand and goggles fixed to his face. Little sparks coming off with each connection made. Hours past and it was about 2am. As he worked he didnt notice the hours go by, nor did he notice and little yellow four legged creature climb up onto his desk. It crawled closer to him, pausing and observing the human sorting through some screws looking for the right one. The yellow creature noticed what he was looking for. He scanned the item Sakuro was working on and then scanned the area. He located the screw needed and scuttled over to where it was. It was on a mini shelf on the desk. He couldn't quite reach it. He stretched as high as he could and grabbed the edge of the container. This mini shelf was litterly two beer cans with a piece of sheet metal on it. Sakuro wasn't fancy about his work station and to anyone else it was just a mess, but he knew where everything was. Nothing was holding this little shelf down so when the little robot tried to pull himself up the whole thing tumbled forward making the few dishes hold small random spare parts resting on top of it fall over and onto the robot, mixing all the pieces together. The robots gave a small shrieking sound and tried to run away only getting caught up in the mess, rolling into the wall and having a can block him into a corner between the wall, can and askewed piece of sheet metal.
Sakuro startled slightly at the commotion on his desk and he looked over to see the little robot get himself stuck. He sighed setting down the parts in his hands. He moved over pulling the sheet metal away and reaching out to pick up the little yellow robot. The robot didn't try to stop himself from getting picked up. He sat in Sakuro's hand looking up at him and rubbing the back of his head in a embarrassed way making a little robotic noise that you could tell was an apology. "Tinker, shouldn't you be on your charger for the night?" Sakuro said to the little robot obviously being familiar with the little guy. Tinker nodded and showed a low battery symbol on his interface. Sakuro looked up and glanced around. The workshop was very large and work areas were set up all over the place. He saw light from somewhere across the room and got to his feet starting to walk toward its, Tinker still in hand. As he rounded the corner he saw Gadget a fellow engineer. Their head on their desk, screwdriver still in hand and a small drool puddle forming on the desk. He was fast asleep. He watched him for a moment before stepping up and placing his free hand on the sleeping ones shoulder, giving it a soft shake. "Gadget..." he called in a low voice not wanting to startle him.
The sleeping engineer stirred, lifting his head up and looking around a little dazed and confused. He wiped his mouth with the back of his dirty hand feeling the moisture there and succeeded in transferring the dirt to his face but at least he removed the drool. "Sakuro? What time is it?" He asked looking at the tall dark haired man in front of him and then looking around for something that had the time on it.
"Its a little after 2am. Your little friend here got into my stuff again." He told him holding out his hand to reveal Tinker sitting there. He gave Gadget a little wave.
"Tinker!" He called suddenly fully awake and reach out scooping the little robot out of Sakuro's hand. "What have I told you about bothering the others. They have important work to do." He said in a scolding manner. Tinker started making beeps, whirls and other noises like he was trying to explain himself to Gadget. "Tinker your even on low battery. What if you had died and I didn't know ow where you were." He turned and set Tinker on his charging station. Tinker almost looked like he was pouting but he connected himself and started to charge. Gadget turned back to His coworker. "Sorry about that Sakuro. I hope he didnt cause to much trouble."
